| Sophisticated Swing has already proven to be the musical flagship of Florida Jazz Plus. It is a ten-piece “little big band” that consists of three saxes, two brass, piano, bass, drums, guitar, and vocalist. As the name of the group suggests, swing music is the band’s signature! However, the ensemble is extremely versatile. Within the format of Sophisticated Swing exists our dixieland band and Ambiance! The band’s repertoire also includes favorites from broadway and the movies. There is a subtle blend of latin rhythms and a taste of some contemporary sounds. Lisa Kelly provides a diverse offering of musical styles as the band’s featured vocalist. All in all, Sophisticated Swing is great for parties, banquets, corporate functions, dancing engagements, concerts, and civic events.
